For people who've quit a gym before.
Most people don't quit because they're lazy. They quit because nobody noticed they stopped coming. At Ironclad, classes cap at 10, your coach knows your name by the second week, and if you miss three sessions in a row, we text you. Not to sell you anything. To ask how you're doing.
- 10people per class, max
- 45minute sessions
- 3times a day: 6 AM, noon, 6:30 PM
- 0contracts. Month to month
The first two weeks decide everything. So we plan them.
In week one, you learn five basic lifts and how to do them without hurting your back. In week two, your coach sets your starting weights and writes them on your card. By week three, you're not new anymore, and that's usually the week people quit somewhere else.

Built for Austin, including August.
Austin gets about a month of 100-degree days a year, most of them in August. That's when outdoor routines fall apart and the trail around Lady Bird Lake empties out by 8 AM. Our room stays at 68 degrees, and the 6 AM class fills up in July for a reason. Parking is free, behind the building on Bluebonnet Lane, five minutes from Zilker, Barton Hills and Bouldin Creek.
Who it's not for.
If you want a 24-hour gym with 200 machines, we're not it, and there are good ones nearby. If you want someone to notice whether you showed up, we are.
"I opened Ironclad after watching friends pay for gyms they'd stopped using by March. They didn't lack willpower. They lacked someone expecting them. That's the whole idea here."
Questions people ask before their first class
- Do I need to be in shape to start?
- No. Most people start without having lifted in years. Your first week is about technique, not intensity.
- How much is a membership?
- $149 a month for up to three classes a week, or $189 for unlimited. No sign-up fee.
- What happens if I miss a week?
- Nothing dramatic. We check in, see how you're doing, and help you restart with weights that make sense.
- Is there parking on South Lamar?
- Yes. It's free, behind the building on Bluebonnet Lane.
- Do you have classes in Spanish?
- Yes. The Saturday 9 AM class is coached in Spanish.
Your first class is free. The second one is where it starts.

- 3horarios: 6 a. m., mediodía y 6:30 p. m.
- 0contratos. Pagas mes a mes

Measured from the page
Calculated live from the English version of each page. Reading level uses the Flesch-Kincaid formula.
Under the hood
What this demo shows.
The same method behind the pages and posts I write for clients: written for one reader, built for the search they type, and proven with specifics.
Decisions, explained
Every change on the page has a reason. Turn on the notes and hover any number to see which line it changed.
Reader, named
Generic copy talks to everyone, so it lands with no one. The rewrite is written for one person: someone who's quit a gym before.
Adjectives doing the work
Claims like "world-class" are replaced with facts a reader can check: class size, length, times, price.
Languages, both written
The Spanish version is written for Spanish readers, with its own rhythm, not run through a translator.
Measurements, not opinions
Reading level, sentence length, "you" versus "we" and clichés are calculated from the words on the page as it loads.
Search decisions, explained
Switch the notes to SEO to see the page the way Google reads it: the title, the H1, the headings, local signals, links and structured data.
Ironclad Fitness is fictional. The facts about Austin are real: it averaged 29 days of 100°F or hotter a year from 1991 to 2020, and August reaches 100 most often.
